Yamato tea gruel is a local dish of Nara which is said to have been first eaten long ago by the monks of Todai-ji Temple.
This gruel is prepared with roasted green tea, and is not viscous but light and easy to eat.
The tea gruel is served with our Japanese set meal.
All meals at Wakasa Bettei are served in the dining room, which is replete with the atmosphere of Nara.
The courses are prepared using an abundance of seasonal ingredients, and are served at just the right pace to enable our guests to enjoy them at their best. Private booths are available for guests who wish to enjoy chatting in privacy while they dine.
